Hair Care
Pre Install Info:
R Brand's wefts are very durable. To avoid excessive shedding, if you desire an extra level of protection ,you may seal your wefts for added protection to your investment.
- You can use knot sealer to seal in the knots on your lace
- Do not scratch your scalp through your lace wig
- Use a wide- toothed comb or cushion brush to style and brush your lace wig
- Before washing the lace, remove all glue residue
- Avoid using hair care products with high alcohol content
- After washing your lace let it air dry. Using a hairdryer will cause the knots to burn which will also cause shedding.
- When sleeping use a silk or satin head wrap
- We do not recommend bleaching the knots. Bleaching the knots incorrectly will cause lace balding/ Shedding. We are not responsible for lace balding. We will not exchange or refund closures or frontals due to shedding or balding
Straight Hair Maintenance:
- When applying heat, please use heat protectant to protect your hair. Straightening your hair on extreme high heat can cause unrepairable damage.
- Use a good quality straightening iron or curling rods.
- Air drying your hair extensions is recommended.
- Wash the hair immediately after swimming! When dirt and sweat accumulates, hair mattes, tangles, and becomes unmanageable.
Curly Hair Maintenance:
- Condition hair regularly
- Detangle hair gently before washing. Do not rub or twist hair
- Only use mild shampoo to clean. Use conditioner for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly
- Blot out excess water with towel and allow hair to dry naturally. Do not expose to sun
- Comb curly hair gently with your fingers from the ends to the top.
Platinum Blonde (#613) maintenance:
- This hair will require hydration daily like hair serums or it will also need to be washed weekly by a colour protection shampoo like TRESemme' Color Revitalize Shampoo & Conditioner to keep its softness.
Night Time Care:
- Tying your hair up at night is just one routine you shouldn't avoid. We spend big money on hair we expect to last us years, so we have to do our part. You must NEVER sleep on wet hair.
- Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair that makes it very difficult to keep the hair the way you want. Just make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Rolling your hair in rods at night will maintain your curls and limit the amount of heat you have to use on your hair daily.
How often can I wash the hair?
- Don’t over wash your hair. Limit washing to once a week and use a Conditioner or when the hair feels extremely dry. Also, always use a deep penetrating hair conditioner and leave it in the hair 5-10 minutes before rinsing the hair unit thoroughly with lukewarm water.
How long does the hair last?
- This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and take good care of it and it will last longer. Depending on maintenance, hair will last 6 months to a year.
Can you colour the hair?
- You can colour your hair like own natural hair. Ensure colour treated hair is kept conditioned and moisturized.
